director, Lynette Has Beautiful Skin (1997)

This short piece by Jane Anderson stood out to me because it didn't attempt to overdefine its characters in a short time span and did not demand a strong resolution. In this way I felt it was true naturalist slice-of-life, but not without tension. The ten-minute performance for directing class at UNH featured Alyssa Yonkin in the lead role, a clutch fabricated jukebox setpiece by Chrissy Barton, and music by Cozmik Corkscrew (the short song "Skin Deep" was written and recorded especially for the show and has not since been released)
